SCOTCH VERDICT

Deirdre Strath Clyde
Writer, performer, director and dramaturg Deirdre Strath Clyde is interpreting the screenplay Scotch Verdict as part of Women @ RADA’s 100 Plays for Women series. Deirdre is a senior reader for the series.
Deirdre’s work in progress includes writing a Medea for Floating Space theatre, Sri Lanka, and performing with Claire Dowie’s Adult Child Dead Child ensemble. Deirdre also performs her solo show, Betty Has To Go Now.
Trained at RADA and Goldsmiths, Deirdre presents professionally performed turn-of-the-20th century Music Hall & Illusion Emporium variety theatre events in a rediscovered music hall (The Portico Gallery, West Norwood), along with staged and participatory readings of new and classic plays.
Works for the RADA Graduate Workshop programme include Shaken, by Louise Page (as director); American Portraits, by Devon O’Brien (as assistant dramaturg and performer); The Naked Fraulein, Nutcracker, Waking Beauty (as writer) in addition to many productions as a performer.
